Research Paper Ideas -- Kiva.org

This is kind of my idea, although I haven't figured out an interactive component.




Kiva Micro-loans


Research Project:

Kiva.org – micro-financing

       1.     Have students verify trustworthiness of the organization – how do we do that?
       2.     Determine amount of money we could raise to loan
       3.     Peruse site:  Find a loan you would like to make.
       4.     Research the country – write a paper.     Argue the point for your loan.

    I think you should give it a go. kiva.org seems pretty well established; they have already helped thousands of people. I hope this becomes rewarding for you and your students.
